Application Submission
Applicants complete an online form, providing academic, extracurricular, and personal details for initial screening.

Interview with Program Leaders
Candidates with exceptional test results are invited for a personal interview with the Head of Programs to discuss their aspirations, goals, and alignment with program values.

Onboarding and Orientation
Selected students receive guidance on program details, support for relocation (if needed), and join an orientation to prepare them for their academic and personal journey.

Testing Phase
All applicants take an initial math test to ensure equal opportunities to showcase their skills. Additional assessments follow for shortlisted candidates.

Final Selection
After evaluations, the admissions committee makes the final decision. Successful applicants are confirmed for admission and scholarship, covering tuition and other educational expenses.

Kevin Sim
Seasoned College Counsellor, Ex-Director of College Counselling at Raffles Institution
Kevin Sim was the Director of College Counselling at the renowned Raffles Institution, Singapore’s premier and oldest school. As the College Counselor, he went on to set world records in Oxford/Cambridge as well as Ivy League (and Ivy Plus group) admissions in for a given year, with numbers from his institution exceeding those entire countries.

One of the most seasoned college counsellors, Kevin specialises in working with underprivileged students. His pro-bono college counselling work over the past 20+ years spans the world, including Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Eastern Europe, etc.

Since leaving Raffles Institution, he continues to work with applicants across the world. Kevin continues to collaborate with and advise several Education Foundations to promote access and equity in underserved communities.
KONSTANTIN NOVOSELOV
Physicist, Nobel Laureate
Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov FRS is a physicist best known for co-discovering graphene—a revolutionary two-dimensional material—for which he was awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), earned his PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands, and began his research at the University of Manchester in 2001. He continues to hold a part-time role as Langworthy Professor of Physics and Royal Society Research Professor at Manchester. In 2019, he joined the National University of Singapore as Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor and Director of the Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials. In recognition of his contributions to science, he was knighted by the United Kingdom in the 2012 New Year Honours.

Outside the lab, Sir Konstantin is actively involved in education and science outreach. He often emphasizes the importance of learning broadly, telling students: “You need to expand your horizons and study a wide range of subjects in school – that’s your last chance to learn broadly, to understand your intrinsic priorities.” He contributes to curriculum development, gives lectures, and regularly works with students around the world. Known for treating young learners as equals in conversation, he helps them explore science not just through facts, but through questions, dialogue, and curiosity-driven thinking.
Sergey Lando
Renowned Mathematician, Professor at HSE University, Moscow
Sergey Lando is a renowned mathematician with expertise in algebraic geometry, singularity theory, low-dimensional topology, and combinatorics. He is a professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), where he also made history as the first dean of the Faculty of Mathematics from 2008 to 2015.

In addition to his role at HSE, Sergey has held academic positions at several prestigious institutions, including Moscow State University, where he earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor V.I. Arnold. His academic career also includes visiting scholar positions at universities across Sweden, the UK, France, Germany, the USA, Canada, and the Netherlands.

Sergey Lando was one of the co-authors of the famous ELSV formula (named after Ekedahl, Lando, Shapiro, and Vainshtein), which establishes a deep connection between Hurwitz numbers and intersection theory on the moduli space of curves. In parallel, his research on Vassiliev knot invariants contributed significantly to the combinatorial and algebraic framework that underpins these finite-type invariants, helping to clarify how chord diagrams and weight systems capture the subtle properties of knots.

A prominent figure in the mathematical community, Sergey is Vice-President of the Moscow Mathematical Society and a member of the American Mathematical Society. His leadership and mentorship have helped shape the mathematical landscape in Russia and beyond.
Leonid Boguslavsky
Entrepreneur and Investor, Founder of RTP Global
Leonid Boguslavsky is a successful entrepreneur and investor with a strong track record in the tech industry. He is the founder of RTP Global, a venture capital firm that supports early-stage startups in AI, fintech, e-commerce, and SaaS.

An early investor in Yandex and Delivery Hero, Leonid has helped build some of the world’s leading tech companies. His firm has also backed over 110 tech startups across the US, Europe, and Asia, including fast-growing startups like Datadog, Rapyd, CRED, and Rappi.

With a background in computer science and entrepreneurship, Leonid brings deep industry expertise and hands-on mentorship to founders, guiding them in scaling their businesses globally.

At the age of 62, Leonid developed a passion for long distance triathlons. He has qualified four times for the Ironman World Championship and co-founded Supertri League of Triathlon in 2017.
RATMIR TIMASHEV
Entrepreneur & Technologist, Founder of Veeam Software
Ratmir Timashev is a globally recognized entrepreneur and technologist. He is the founder of Veeam Software – the global leader in cloud data security and data protection software. A champion of education and technological innovation, Ratmir's family foundation is a leading supporter of the Ohio State University.

Ratmir has dedicated his career to building transformational tech companies. He founded and served for eight years as Chief Executive Officer of Veeam Software before selling the company to Insight Partners in 2020. In addition to working on his next technology company, Object First, he is supporting several startups and mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Ratmir’s career as a software entrepreneur began during his time as a graduate student at Ohio State in 1995. Together with his close friend and partner Andrei Baronov, they built their first company, Aelita Software, out of Ratmir’s OSU campus apartment, and later sold it to Quest Software in 2004.

In 2017, Timashev and his wife, Angela, established the Timashev Family Foundation to support arts education, entrepreneurship, and other causes. Ratmir maintains strong ties to Ohio State, where he has established several scholarship funds for undergraduate students and scientific research.

In 2022, Timashev Family Foundation’s major gift was provided to establish the Center for Software Innovation at the Ohio State University. Born into a family of engineers, Ratmir earned his first Master’s degree in Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, then a Master of Science in Chemical Physics from Ohio State in 1996.

He holds an MSc in Monetary and Financial Economics from the University of Cyprus and a BSc in Economics (Honors) with a Minor in Justice from American University, Washington D.C., where he studied under a Fulbright Scholarship.
Marios is known for designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences and is actively involved in entrepreneurship education, guiding students in real-world business creation. His experience extends to multiple startups and business initiatives, bringing valuable industry insights into his teaching. Additionally, he has been deeply involved in curriculum development, coaching, and financial literacy programs, collaborating with the University of Cyprus to deliver Financial Education courses.
He is fluent in English and Greek.

Leadership Experience
Grajina Carswell is an experienced mathematics educator with a strong background in leadership roles within secondary education. She has served as Head of Maths at Worthing High School, UK, since 2020 and previously held the same position at Court Moor School, UK, from 2017 to 2020. Earlier in her career, she worked as Deputy Head of Department and Teacher of Maths at Court Moor School, contributing to curriculum development and mentoring teachers.
She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Mathematics from the Open University and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Grajina has also worked as a university lecturer at the University of Roehampton, bringing academic and industry experience into her teaching practice.

An accomplished physics educator holding M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Physics from Yale University (2006–2009), as well as B.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees from Belgrade University (1998–2006).
Ivan previously served as a Physics Teacher and Board Member at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, renowned for guiding students to over 80 medals in prestigious competitions including the International Physics Olympiads, European Physics Olympiads, International Junior Science Olympiads, and Balkan Physics Olympiads.
He is recognized as Serbia’s leading physics teacher in national competitions over the past decade. Co-authored a high school physics textbook scheduled for publication in 2025. Organized the Mathematical Grammar School Cup, an international STEM competition for young learners. Served as an IB DP Physics Tutor in Belgrade, specializing in supporting international school students. Former Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at Yale University's Department of Physics.

Nikos holds an MSc in Risk Management from ALBA Graduate Business School, awarded with a Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and a BSc in Mathematics with a focus on Applied Mathematics, Chaos & Complexity from Patras University, Greece. His extensive teaching experience includes roles at The Junior & Senior School in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he taught Mathematics and coordinated the Gifted & Talented Program. He coached students for mathematical competitions, achieving notable success with award-winning teams in the Kangaroo Competitions, Math Olympiads, National Cypriot Competitions, National Math Relay Competitions and Euromath/Euroscience Conferences.
Nikos also founded and led the Strategic Thinking and Games Club (STaG). His expertise extends to teaching Game Theory at the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) – Johns Hopkins University. Sergey is an accomplished Mathematics and Programming Educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in leading mathematics-focused schools in Russia. He holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Lomonosov State University, Russia. His expertise lies in Olympiad training, curriculum development, and educational technology, particularly in creating interactive learning tools and automated assessment systems. At Moscow School No. 179, Sergey designed over 1,000 programming challenges, developed automated testing systems, and led a popular Olympiad Math Circle with weekly participation of over 1,000 students, successfully training multiple Olympiad finalists, including a winner. At Moscow School No. 57, he managed advanced mathematics courses, coordinated student admissions, and developed innovative Python-based problem generators and auto-checkers. Additionally, Sergey contributed significantly to UCHi.RU by creating interactive math problems for 600,000 Olympiad participants and developing advanced automated assessment tools. He speaks English and Russian.
