A highly accomplished mathematics educator and researcher, holding a PhD from ETH Zurich, with academic qualifications from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, and the University of Belgrade.
Since 2006, she has taught mathematics at top-tier schools, including the Mathematical Grammar School Belgrade and Računarska gimnazija, where she specialised in mathematics and discrete mathematics for highly gifted students.
Sonja has made a profound impact through mathematical Olympiad training, having coached students who have earned more than 50 medals at international competitions.
Her students have gone on to study and teach at some of the world’s leading universities, including MIT, Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge.
In addition to teaching, Sonja is the author of official high school mathematics textbooks in Serbia and has published her research in top international journals. Her academic journey includes postdoctoral and teaching positions in the USA, Germany, and Serbia, and regular participation in global conferences.
Fluent in Serbian and English, with working knowledge of German, Sonja brings a wealth of experience and excellence in math education, Olympiad coaching, and academic research.
