Student Council Elections
This year we have many things which our students are going to do for the first time.

This month, MYP students were invited to run for Student Council positions:
President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
A total of 13 candidates campaigned during the third week of January! They created posters and gave speeches to the entire MYP community.
Elections took place on the 20th via paper ballots for MYP 1 and electronic voting for MYP 2, 3 and 4. For many students this was their first experience running a campaign and many also had never participated in this kind of voting process.
The Student Council will organise activities designed to build school spirit and unity, and to engage the MYP community in charitable activities as well. The President convenes Student Council meetings, agrees with members on the agenda in advance, the V.P. supports the President and represents him in case of absence. The Secretary records meeting minutes and informs members of future meetings. The Treasurer accounts for all funds the Student Council raises, for charity and for school-wide events.

The elected officers are: Alexander Esin, President; Adam Bitus, Vice President; Eugeny Kolesov, Secretary; and Ivan Ananev, Treasurer.
In addition to these four officers, the Student Council will also include one representative from each of the four MYP classes.
