These achievements reflect the passion, commitment and outstanding work of our students and teachers. We are proud to continue building a culture of academic excellence and international ambition at The Island Private School of Limassol. Currently, the school is in the 5th position at the National Math Relay Competition.

Math Kangaroo
Our students took part in the Math Kangaroo competition, one of the world’s largest international mathematics contests. We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement: The Island School students won a total of 20 medals.

  • Gold Medal at the Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad (NBPhO)
    Vladyslav Lypnytskiy from The Island School won a Gold Medal at the NBPhO-2026 in Tallinn, Estonia, and took 4th place overall among youth physicists from all over Europe and many other countries (e.g. China).
  • National Selection AI Camp for IOAI
    Three TLF students from The Island School ranked among the top 5 participants at the National Selection Camp for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI).

    Mariia Shilo (1st place) and Artyom Konyukhov (2nd place) have strong chances to be selected for the national team and to represent Cyprus at the International AI Olympiad in August 2026.
  • EGMO
    Polina Varlamova from The Island School received an Honorable Mention at the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad 2026 in Bordeaux, France.
  • MIT Global Teaching Labs
    Three scholars from The Island School were selected and participated in the prestigious MIT Global Teaching Labs international program, which took place across Cyprus.
  • National Math Relay Competition
    The Island School team took 5th place overall in the National Math Relay Competition in Cyprus, with the majority of the team made up of TLF scholars.
  • Cyprus Programming Challenge
    At the Cyprus Programming Challenge 2025 held at Neapolis University Pafos, Nikita Pimenov from The Island School won 3rd place.

    Other TLF scholars – Munar Sagymbay, Mikhail Ostapenko, and Polina Varlamova – all ranked in the Top-10.
