We are delighted to be welcoming a cohort of new colleagues to our community this August — and we want to make sure their first chapter here is a memorable one for all the right reasons. That's why we're launching our very first Buddy Programme, and we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to make it happen!
Moving to a new country and starting a new job at the same time is both exciting and daunting. A familiar face, a local tip, and a bit of genuine warmth can make all the difference. As a Buddy, you'd be that person.
There's no formal script or heavy commitment: just genuine connection and the kind of support you'd have welcomed yourself when you first arrived. We hope our Buddies will share their knowledge of the island, their best tips on how to settle in, point new colleagues to the best coffee in town, and generally be a friendly, welcoming presence around school.
If you'd like to be considered as a Buddy, please complete the sign-up form no later than Monday 8 June and we will match you with one of our new recruits.
