Maria Michael joined our school in August 2022 as a dedicated Greek Language Teacher, bringing with her a diverse professional background and a deep commitment to student wellbeing and language education. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Byzantine and Modern Greek Literature from the University of Cyprus, and her academic training is complemented by professional experience across the education, social services, hospitality, and project management sectors. Prior to joining our team, Maria worked at SPAVO (Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family), where she provided holistic educational and emotional support to children in domestic violence shelters. Her broad expertise in communication, empathy, and creative education deeply enriches her teaching approach. Maria's passion for the Greek language is matched by her ability to connect with students of all backgrounds, helping them develop both their linguistic skills and cultural understanding in a nurturing, inclusive environment. In the classroom, Maria is known for her warmth, positivity, and thoughtful planning.
