IB Grade 5 Greek: Exploring Media, Advertising & the Power of Language

The Greek Department is happy to share that IB Grade 5 students have completed a unit connected to the central idea: “Media and advertising influence how we think, feel, and make choices.”

Throughout this unit, students developed their Greek language skills by learning and applying vocabulary related to media, advertising, products, and language used to convince an audience. As part of their learning, they created posters to advertise different products and produced a poster and video to promote our school in Greek. These activities gave students the opportunity to use the language in a meaningful and creative way, while also developing their understanding of how media messages are created and how advertising can influence people’s thoughts, feelings, and choices.
