During this assembly, dedicated to the Cyprus fight for independence, students considered the history, importance, relevance and multiple perspectives on the event:

Grade 6 students were drawing postcards based on the videos from Cyprus in the 1960s

Grade 7 students made freedom posters expressing what they thought freedom entails

Grade 8 students were drawing short comics on how the people must have felt when these events occurred

Grade 9 students were drawing triptychs based on the fears, hopes and dreams of people in Cyprus in 1955-1960

Grades 10 and 11 were recording their speeches when they expressed what independence and freedom meant to them.
