Additional Teaching Hrs - Weekly reminder

Dear All,

This is a weekly reminder to record your Additional Teaching Hours in Bamboo (Time Off tab) by the end of today.

Please ensure that all additional teaching hours for the period 19 December 2025 – 16 January 2026.

From January 2026 onwards, any additional teaching hours not entered correctly in Bamboo will not be paid. All entries must follow the Additional Payment Policy.

What you need to do:

When submitting your hours in Bamboo, clearly state the total hours in the comments section.

Example:

Total: 5 hrs – Extra Teaching Club (group, part of tuition fee)

8 hrs – Extra Teaching Lessons

What can be submitted:

• Extra Teaching Lesson (long-term cover only): Hourly rate × 1.5 (1 hour teaching + 0.5 hour preparation)

• Extra Teaching Club – Group (part of tuition fee): €20 gross per club

• Extra Teaching Club – Group (paid by parents – EAL only): €30 gross per club

• Extra Teaching Club – Individual session (paid by parents): €25 gross per session

• Cover of an absent afternoon teacher after 16:00 (morning-shift staff): Hourly rate

Clarifications:

• Extra Teaching Lessons apply only to long-term cover (more than 5 consecutive working days).

• Extra Teaching Clubs are taught beyond contracted hours on a permanent basis.

• Cross-shift cover applies when staff work beyond assigned hours to cover an absence (Monday–Friday).
