This weekend, Cyprus celebrates one of its most unique and beloved traditions — Kataklysmos, also known as the Festival of the Flood.
Celebrated during the Pentecost long weekend, Kataklysmos combines religious tradition, cultural heritage, music, dance, poetry, and joyful seaside gatherings. The festival is deeply connected to Cyprus’ coastal communities and is celebrated across the island, especially in Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, and Ayia Napa.
In Limassol, festivities will take place from Saturday, 30 May to Monday, 1 June 2026 along the Molos promenade and seafront area. Employees and their communities can enjoy:
traditional Cypriot music and dancing
“tsiattista” (Cypriot improvised poetry)
family-friendly children’s activities
shadow theatre performances
concerts and cultural performances
boat rides and water-themed celebrations
