Help Your Child Discover the Joy of Math!

2026-01-16 08:56 Whole School
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to invite your child to participate in the 2026 Kangaroo Math Competition, which will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
What is Kangaroo Math?
Unlike traditional math exams that focus on memorisation and repetitive calculations, the Kangaroo Math Competition is designed to be a "mathematical treat." It features unique, age-appropriate puzzles that encourage logical reasoning, creativity, and perseverance. It is a global event, with millions of students from over 90 countries participating every year.
Why should your child participate?
  • Boosts Confidence: The competition is designed to be accessible and fun, helping students feel more positive about their math skills.
  • Critical Thinking: The problems challenge students to think "outside the box" and apply logic to real-world scenarios.
  • International Recognition: Every participant receives a certificate of participation, and top scorers can earn medals and national rankings.
  • No Pressure: The primary goal is to promote a love for mathematics in a low-stress, engaging environment.

Competition Details:

  • Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026
  • Who can join: Students in Grades 1 through 12 (Levels are assigned based on school grade).
  • Format: A multiple-choice challenge lasting 75 minutes.
